What is happening ?

Texas Instruments (TI) laying off 12% of their workforce. (approx 3400 employees)

Intel closing down 2 fabs and 3 IC assembly plants. (around 4000 to 5000 employees worldwide)

And today – ST announced 4500 people to be laid off.
