Putthandu Nal Vaazthukkal (Happy Tamil New Year)
Today is the Tamil New Years day. The tamils share the same day for new year with the Malayalees as well (they call it vishu). The telugu people, kannadigas, and the marathi's had their new year last week. The difference in dates is because of the lunar and solar calendars followed by the different state peoples.
